Acharya Sri. Baratwaj was born into a traditional Shaivaite Family. He graduated with “Aagama Mani” from Veda Shaivagama Patashala, Palani Thirukoil. He pursued post-graduation with an M.A. in Shaivaagama from Sri Venkateshwara Vedic University, Tirupati.

He has 14+ years of experience and has performed 50+ Kumbhaabhishekams as a Lead Priest and 100+ Kumbhaabhishekams with a group of priests, in various places including Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

He performs Visesha Poojas including Chandi yagnam, Brahmotsavam, Pavithrotsavam, Athi Rudra yagnam, Mruthyunjaya homam, Kalyanams,Satyanarayana pooja, Ganapati homam, Shatru samhara homam, Durga pooja, to name a few.

He possesses skills to perform all Vedic rituals, homams and recites Ganapati Thalam and Devi Mahatyam. He is passionate about teaching devotees, especially children, the Shlokas, Shaiva tatvam and siddhantam, and Devi Mahatyam.

He was honored Chandi Yagna Kala Rathnam by Sri Mahankali Amman Temple, Myanmar, Shiva Yaaga Velvi Thilagam by Virutheeshwar Temple, Coimbatore, 2nd place at University level in Shaivaagama, Sri Venkateshwara Vedic University, Trupati. He is proficient in English, Tamil, Telugu. He is married with 2 beautiful children.
